1.1 About these terms

At FunZone Bounce & Play, our Terms and Conditions establish the framework governing the activities of our visitors, ensuring a secure and enjoyable environment for everyone.

In these terms, "the Activities" means inflatable park access, café access and any other amusement or entertainment activity organised by FunZone Bounce & Play. References to "we", "us" and "the Company" mean FunZone Bounce & Play, together with its agents, owners, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, contractors, insurers and facility operators.

By using our services you are bound by these terms.

1.2 Sessions and entry

Sessions run for one hour unless a two-hour slot has been booked. If you choose to join a session once it has begun, your booking slot will still end at the scheduled end of the session.

Only patrons with play access wristbands may enter the play area. If the child you are caring for needs supervision, you must purchase a full entry ticket in order to enter the play area.

Before taking part, all participants must complete our safety induction and watch the Safety Briefing Video.

1.3 The nature of the Activities

Every reasonable effort is made to ensure the safety of children and adults at the centre, but the nature of physical play involves inherent risk. This includes minor bumps, bruises and scrapes, and in rare cases more serious injury.

Specifically:

The inflatable park consists of interconnected inflatable units that are not enclosed and have no segregation or barriers, to allow free movement around the arena.

The Activities are used by multiple age groups at the same time and are not restricted to any one age group.

The Activities are physically demanding, involving jumping and other strenuous actions, sometimes at height, at speed and on unpredictable surfaces.

The Activities are high-impact and full-body, requiring focus, awareness of your own limitations, awareness of your surroundings and caution at all times.

Participation can result in personal injury including, but not limited to, friction burns, cuts, abrasions, bruising, muscle strains, twists, sprains, dislocation, broken bones and paralysis. These injuries can occur through general use of the equipment, and not necessarily as a result of defective equipment or negligence.

1.4 Supervision and responsibility

You are responsible for supervising your child at all times, and for the safety of your own possessions.

We do not provide direct supervision of participants using the Activities, and we do not provide training or tuition in their use. We do not supervise children left unaccompanied on the premises.

We do not assess individual participants' skill level, ability, competency, or the suitability of the Activities for them. Participants, parents and guardians must make their own assessment before taking part.

You agree to remain within the facility and to be reachable in the event of an emergency.

1.5 Health and fitness

You confirm that you, and any child in your care, are physically able to participate and have no medical condition that could pose a risk during play, unless disclosed to us.

The Activities require at least a moderate level of fitness and a basic athletic and jumping ability.

A list of medical contraindications to safe jumping is set out in the Participation Waiver, which must be completed before taking part.

Nobody under the influence of drugs or alcohol may take part in any Activity.

1.6 What to wear

Grip socks are compulsory for everyone entering the inflatable arena, including adults. You're welcome to bring your own, and ours are available to buy at reception. Ordinary socks and bare feet aren't permitted.

Before playing, please also:

Remove jewellery, watches and anything sharp
Empty your pockets of keys, phones, coins and similar items
Tie long hair back
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in
Anything with buckles, zips or hard fastenings can damage the equipment and injure other guests. We may ask you to remove or change such items before entering the arena.

1.7 Conduct

You agree that you and any child in your care will use the equipment safely and responsibly, and will follow the Rules of Play and staff instructions at all times.

Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. Verbal abuse, profanity or intimidating behaviour towards other patrons, staff or anyone else on the premises will result in you and your party being asked to leave immediately. Anyone suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to vacate the premises. The police may also be informed.

Failure to follow the rules may result in removal from the premises without refund.

1.8 Photography and filming

To protect the privacy of every child in our care, photography and filming by guests are not permitted in the inflatable arena, the café, or any other shared area of the premises. This includes phones, cameras and any recording device.

Our arena is open plan and shared by many families at once, and there's no practical way to photograph one child without capturing others.

Party rooms are the exception. If you've booked a party room, you're welcome to take photographs and film inside it during your allocated time. Please keep it to your own party, and please don't photograph or film once you leave the room.

Photography and filming are never permitted in the toilets or changing areas, at any time, for any reason.

Please stop immediately if a member of staff asks you to.

Our own photography. We may take photographs or film at FunZone for our website and social media. We only ever include a child where the responsible adult has given consent on their waiver, and that consent can be withdrawn at any time by telling a member of staff or contacting us.

1.9 Food, drink and allergies

Outside food and drink is not permitted, other than baby food, baby milk and water. We have a café on site, and food is included in most party packages.

If anyone in your group has a food allergy or intolerance, please tell us on your waiver before you arrive, and mention it again when ordering.

Full allergen information for everything we serve is held at the café counter and kept up to date — please ask a member of staff for the current list rather than relying on menus or printed material.

Our kitchen handles nuts, milk, eggs, gluten and other allergens. We cannot guarantee that any item is free from cross-contamination.

1.10 If a child becomes separated from their adult

If you cannot find your child, tell the nearest member of staff immediately. Please don't wait, and don't worry about overreacting. Staff will begin a search of the premises straight away and cover the exits.

If a child is found alone, they are brought to reception and staff will attempt to locate the accompanying adult.

Where we are unable to locate a child's accompanying adult, and it becomes apparent they have left the premises, we will contact the police and the relevant safeguarding authorities. We will remain with the child throughout.

Please help us by keeping your child in sight, telling us if you need to leave the building, and making sure your contact details are correct on your waiver.

1.11 Property and lost property

We are not responsible for loss of, or damage to, personal belongings brought onto the premises. We'd suggest leaving valuables at home.

Lost property is held at reception for 7 days, after which unclaimed items are donated to charity. Please check with reception before you leave, or contact us with the date and time of your visit and a description of the item.

1.12 Complaints

If something isn't right, please tell us.

While you're here, speak to a member of staff or ask for the duty manager — most things are quicker to put right on the day.

Afterwards, contact us with your booking reference and details of what happened. We will respond within 5 working days.

You may also contact Doncaster Council's environmental health team regarding food hygiene or safety, or the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk regarding how we handle your data.

1.13 Car parking

Parking at FunZone is free for our visitors and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. We can't reserve spaces or guarantee availability at busy times, so please allow a few extra minutes at weekends and during school holidays.

Vehicles are left entirely at the owner's risk. We accept no responsibility for loss of, or damage to, any vehicle or its contents, or for any items left in it. Please lock your vehicle and take valuables with you.

Please take care in the car park. It's a shared space used by moving vehicles, and children can be difficult for drivers to see.

Hold children's hands from the moment you leave your vehicle until you're inside
Drive slowly and watch for people walking between parked cars
Please park within the marked bays and keep access routes and any accessible bays clear

Please don't leave children unattended in vehicles at any time.

1.14 Liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Subject to that, you release and discharge the Company from any liability, claim, demand or cause of action arising from participation in the Activities, or from any failure to comply with our safety instructions or the directions of our staff.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

1.15 CCTV

CCTV images of all entrants are monitored and recorded throughout the premises for the purposes of public safety and crime prevention. See our Privacy Policy for how this footage is handled.

1.16 Bookings, cancellations and refunds

See our Refund Policy. Party bookings are subject to separate deposit and rescheduling terms, set out at the point of booking.
